If you want time away from the slopes, there are plenty of things to keep you busy, particularly if you love wildlife.

The Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride gets you up close to herds of elks. TheNational Museum of Wildlife Artoverlooks the National Elk Refuge and offers phenomenal western art. There are some bighorn sheep to spot near the Elk Refuge, but you’ve got a better chance to see the beauties if you take a scenic ride to the town of Dubois and check in at the National Bighorn Sheep Interpretive Center. Keep your eye open in the parks for bull moose and herds of bison.
